Born from numbers, built by hand
Strix didn't start in a boardroom. It started with a spreadsheet a monthly log of sales kept religiously, turned into dashboards, turned into arguments that could be won with evidence.
Over three years in a competitive engineering market, that discipline helped grow a business from sector zero to a KES 100 million deal. Data was the engine behind every conversation. Dashboards gave credibility. Insight gave confidence.
Today that same practice is formalised into Strix a company that builds analytics products, trains teams in Power BI, and applies AI to real-world problems across sport, business, and the public sector.
One person, many disciplines
Iganjo is a data analyst, trainer, and business-development strategist based in Nairobi. His path runs through classrooms, government field work, corporate boardrooms, and everything in between — each chapter adding a layer to how he teaches and builds today.
The academic foundation
Iganjo holds a BSc in Mathematics & Computer Science and a postgraduate MBA from Leeds Business School. He started a PhD at the University of Nairobi — and walked away. Not because he couldn’t do it, but because the work had stopped being hands-on. The real lab was always going to be somewhere less structured.
The field years
Before 2020, he worked across Kenya as a freelancer and with the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) in various capacities — moving through counties, communities, and government offices around the country. That journey gave him a rare, ground-level understanding of how data actually moves: from a field enumerator’s form, to the president’s briefing table, and back to policy on the ground. It is the frame behind everything he teaches.
The data side
Self-taught in Power BI, Iganjo built a disciplined analytics practice long before anyone asked for one — logging data, building models, and using insight to win in a tough market. He developed the KePHCA e-learning platform in 2020, operationalised a company website that drove real sales, and ran financial reporting end-to-end with minimal resources.
The human side
Alongside the technical work, Iganjo has navigated his own journey with ADHD and mental health — an experience that gave him a ground-level understanding of resilience, self-advocacy, and mental fitness. Now completing a Diploma in Psychology, he facilitates workplace wellness conversations with a rare blend of study and lived honesty.

How we got here
BSc Mathematics & Computer Science • MBA Leeds
Built an academic foundation across mathematics, computing, and business. Completed a postgraduate MBA from Leeds Business School. Started a PhD at the University of Nairobi — left when the coursework ran out of real-world runway.
Field work across Kenya — KNBS & freelance
